EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to experience the sardine run as a snorkeler or freediver! In fact, some of the best action is close to the surface, meaning it is best to have the flexibility to jump in and out of the water without cumbersome dive gear.
For scuba divers, most operators recommend having a minimum of Advanced Diver certification. What’s more important is your level of fitness — on an active day, you’ll be hopping in and out of the boat and swimming to keep up with fast-paced marine activity.
GUESTS
8 per boat, plus staff.
CLIMATE & CONDITIONS
Water temperature is around 18 – 21 degrees Celsius so a 7mm wetsuit will suffice.
The mornings and late afternoons can be cold so it is best to bring a water-proof jacket for the boat. The weather is generally calm but we can have some winter storms which can make the sea rough.
